Look Ma, no hands!

I know it's dark (you may want to view this at night or w/ your lights off in the room)- but watch closely & you'll see munchkin-head take some steps w/ no hands! She does this all day long now... a few here, a few there. She's our funny girl. (Please don't mind the piles of clean laundry in the background - it feels like I'm always folding!)

Kate really tore into some of my zillion old magazines that I'm trying to weed through & get rid of. Here she samples a taste of one, and in the next shot she collapses from her exhausting paper-play.

I forgot you can't turn my camera vertically to take video. Sorry! I'm not very good at this I guess. Got some great footage of Kate at the park today - Kip wanted to send her down the big-girl slide, but I thought she was too little. Turns out, that she has her mama's sense of adventure when it comes to speed & thrill rides & Loooved! the slide! She just kept pointing & squawking when she got to the bottom to 'go again'. Sorry, again, the videos are sideways. I'm still working on that junk.

So precious - enjoying playing with some of the leaves & crunching them between her fingers. She was so good and didn't even try to put many in her mouth! :) I thought she looked so sweet in the shadows of the sunset with no shoes & her bow in her hair. We probably could have done this for 10 minutes if we would have let her just sit there. She was mesmerized by the crunchy leaves!

Ahhh, here is Kate in her "Rick Warren" shirt - she looks ready for the beach!





Here is hubby hard at work - we are tearing down some old wallpaper that had been previously painted over. The color was kind of dark & you could really see the seams of the wallpaper through the paint so we decided to just go for it & do it the right way. See Bonk the cat - she is suicidal as she sits on Daddy's bottom step - just asking to be stepped on!! Look out below!




One of Kate's favorite activities is attacking the pillows in our bed & jumping up and down holding onto the headboard. Also, cruising around the coffee table. Here she is sporting her stylish moneky pj's. (FYI - it is hard to find girl clothes w/ monkeys on them!! Don't little girls have the right to wear cute monkeys on their clothes, too?! Seriously, we live in America people! There really should be more monkeys...)



Here is another one of Kate's awesome legwarmer pictures, only she's sporting them as armwarmers this time!! I'm telling you folks... they're coming back into style!




Finally - a bad video. I don't know if you can even edit the direction of videos on my digital camera, but I took this one in the vertical position so you'll have to humor me & turn your head sideways!! I've learned my lesson... but thought it was cute and I know I'm overdue for a post anyways so I thought I'd throw it up here. Sorry about the crook in your neck.
